From Grandma Doodle's Kitchen..

Grandma Doodle's Famous Vegetable Stew

Brown 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef in large pot.
Drain well.
Add 1 can tomato soup.
Add 1 package onion soup.
Stir well.
Add potatoes (about 1 per person) chopped into about 1 inch squares.
Add about four sliced carrots.
Cover this with water and simmer until carrots are done.
Add 1 can drained green beans.
Add l can corn.
Heat until hot and season to taste.

This is a family favorite served with cornbread. We like Shawnee's best cornbread mix. I follow the directions on the package but add a little sugar and bake it in an iron skillet to make it crispy on the outside. Mmmm good!

Always on the market for a great new soup recipe! Though Shawnee does hold a.... tiny place in my heart, I would have to say that Red Rock has the BEST cornbread ever ever ever! Being quite the regular, it is unforgettably mouth-rock'in!

You're obviously new to "cornbread" country. Besides, what do Caliohioesotans know about food anyway?
